A day for Thanks

Maryn- it is your first Thanksgiving! Today we went over to your GiGi's house to have Thanksgiving dinner with your cousins and your greatgrandparents. You were such a good girl and slept right through dinner even though we were all loud.

Happy Birthday Dad!

What better birthday present than to bring our little girl home? We arrived home to find a giant stork in our front yard welcoming you home! When we walked inside, the entire kitchen was covered in food, birthday cake, diapers and flowers. You have the very best grandparents on the face of this earth. It is so nice to be back home!

Could your timing be any better?

You arrived today, November 4, 2008 at 11:04 in the morning. I don't know which was the better surprise- the fact that you were a beautiful baby girl or that you had more hair than I have ever seen on a baby before! If you were a boy, your name would have been Lucas, but I have to admit that I secretly hoped that you were a girl- I have wanting a little Maryn for so long now. Welcome to the world Maryn Ann Hayen!

One Journey Ends and Another Begins

Dear Maryn,
Today we went to our 39 week appointment. We have been waiting for you for so long that we thought you would never arrive. Imagine our surprise though when the doctor said that we needed to go straight to the hospital because it was time for you to come! We raced home to get our things and took these last pictures before you entered the world. We are so excited to meet you! Boy or girl, you are about to change our lives forever!
